Tony S Tony holds the 1994 (Argentina) and 1996 (Brazil) Yoga Sport World Cup from the From 1996 to 2004, Tony trained elementary grade classroom teachers, middle and high school physical education teachers both in the public and private sectors in San Francisco and Los Angeles. With volunteers from the United States Yoga Association he established after-school programs in several schools throughout the San Francisco Unified School District. In 2005, Tony relocated to Los Cabos, Baja Calfornia Sur, Mexico where he established the Tony Sanchez Academia de Yoga. He is also director of yoga at One&Only Palmilla, a five-star hotel/resort in San Jose del Cabo. Tony is featured in Yoga,the Yoga Journal coffee table book, Eighty-four Āsanas in Yoga, A Survey of Traditions by Gudrun Bühnemann; and San Francisco by Morton Beebe. Tony is author of Yoga Challenge I, Practice Manual and co-author of Kids' Yoga Challenge and the Yoga Science Box. He produced the Yoga Challenge I, II, III & IV on DVD with Frontier Productions in San Francisco. His classic 84 Āsanas poster is currently being updated and will be available on this website in early 2010.
Tony Sanchez
anchez trained with Bikram Choudhury from 1976 to 1979, when he was certified by Ghosh's College of Physical Education. He was director of the San Franciso Yoga College of India from 1979 to 1983.
In 1985 he founded the United States Yoga Association and the San Francisco Yoga Studio where he established the Yoga Challenge® system to teach Ghosh's 84 asanas in a progressive series, enabling practitioners of all levels to reap the health and fitness benefits of the system without injury.
